Let your life inspire your work. This week on Carlie’s Couch, self-taught mixed media artist Tyvette Symone joins us to discuss her new solo art exhibit, Reflections of the Human Condition. She often explores the symptoms of mental illness intimately in her art and aims to inspire and de-stigmatize the conversation around mental health through sharing her own personal experiences within the composition of her work. As someone living with this mental illness, I hope to share a small glimpse of what it means to process the experiences that come with it.
